Common Questions

The Beckham Law (officially Régimen Especial para Trabajadores Desplazados) is a special tax regime designed to attract foreign talent to Spain.

The key benefit:

Flat 24% rate on income up to €600,000/year — instead of the progressive scale (which can reach 45–54% depending on region for high earners).
Valid for the year of relocation + the following 5 years.

Since 2023 it's available to Digital Nomads. If you relocate on a nomad visa or as a highly-qualified specialist, you can apply — provided you have not been a Spanish resident in the last 5 years.

Why it matters for your numbers:

No business-expense deductions (unlike standard Autónomo). The flat 24% more than compensates for high earners.

Important: you have only 6 months from your registration in the Spanish Social Security system to apply. Missing this window means losing the benefit for all 6 years.
